Chocolate Hazelnut Shaken Espresso

Instructions:

Step 1: Make the hazelnut syrup. Add the light brown sugar, granulated sugar, water and hazelnuts to a small saucepan. Set the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally until it comes to a simmer.

Step 2: Let the syrup simmer (not boil) for 10 minutes, then remove it from the heat. Let the hazelnuts sit in the syrup for an additional 10 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse together.

Step 3: Place a fine mesh sieve over a bowl or container, and pour the syrup through it to remove all the hazelnuts.

Step 4: Make the shaken espresso. Start by filling a cup that has a lid, or container with ice.

Step 5: Pour the syrup over the ice.

Step 6: Brew your espresso, then pour it over the ice.

Step 7: Close up the cup or container, and vigorously shake it until it's nice and frothy.

Step 8: Pour the espresso mixture into a cup, adding in more ice as needed.

Step 9: Top the drink off with your chocolate milk of choice.

Step 10: Stir and enjoy!
